Telangana Rashtra Samiti MP Vijaya Shanti gave a slip to the police who came to arrest her in a filmi style by disappearing from her home.

A case has been registered against Vijaya Shanti for violating the election code of conduct which is in force for the by-elections to 12 assembly  constituencies scheduled for July 27.

A case was registered against her at Banjara Hills Police Station for allegedly making an inflammatory  speech provoking the people of  Telangana.

The police reached her house to arrest her, but could not find her at her house as she had already fled the scene.

It is learnt that the MP from Medak admitted herself to an undisclosed private nursing home in Hyderabd to avoid arrest. On being informed of the visit of the police personnel to her house, she contacted K Chandrsekhara Rao  who advised her to surrender before the court. She is expected to  surrender before the court on Friday  evening or Saturday morning.
