The battle lines are drawn for the Dubbaka byelection. The TRS is raring to better its 62,600 votes majority to consolidate its grip on the constituency in Medak district while the Congress and the BJP are sharpening their weapons in the armory for the big fight on November 3.
Initially, situations were completely in favor of TRS candidate Sujatha. But Congress and BJP seems to give tough fight. Equations are changing regularly, and we can’t say for now, who will win the battle.
Former MLA Muthyam Reddy’s son Cheruku Srinivas Reddy is contesting on Congress ticket, while BJP fielded M Raghunandan Rao. There is sympathy wave on Srinivas Reddy as well. But, late campaigning and no star campaigner for the party turn big minus.
Meanwhile, many wonder why Congress Party’s star campaigner Vijayashanthi is silent and why she is not part of the campaigning in support of Congress Party.
Originally, Congress planned to field Vijayashanthi for Dubbaka byelection. Even, Vijayashanthi too showed interest. But, she got complete disapproval from the local leaders who cautioned party will face humiliating defeat if the ticket is given to Vijayashanthi.
Upset with the recent developments, Vijayashanthi decided not to campaign for Congress for the byelection. Earlier, there were reports that, she will join again in BJP. But, it seems, she has decided to stay away from politics.
Vijayashanthi made comeback to films with Mahesh Babu’s Sarileru Neekevvaru which was a runaway hit. She is expected to continue doing films!
