Seeking conferment of national project status to Polavaram, Devadula and Pranahita-Chevella projects, a delegation of Andhra Pradesh MPs and Ministers on Thursday submitted a memorandum to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

The MPs urged the Prime Minister to accord national status to these projects as they need huge funds. “It will be difficult for the state government to bear the cost of these projects,” the delegation stated.
