The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam has suspended three officials in connection with Aarjitha seva tickets scam, stated Ttd Chief Vigilance and Security officer M K Singh.
Talking to reporters on Thursday, he stated the investigation was in progress and some more official names who are involved in the scam would come out soon.
He said the investigation team has identified six persons in connection with the Aarjitha seva tickets scam. However, no official was arrested in connection with this scam so far. After completing the investigation, the Ttd would initiate action against the officials, he said.
According to sources, the pilgrims bought aarjitha seva tickets by paying Rs 70,000 which originally costs Rs 750 on other person names violating Ttd rules. Nearly 52 tickets were sold like this in the scam, the probe team report said.
The Ttd is planning to hand over the case to CID and it had already written to the state government in this connection.
