Directors back MAA plan to cut actors' remuneration

Extending whole-hearted support to the Movie Artistes’ Association move to reduce the remuneration of Tollywood actors, the Film Directors Association on Saturday stated that it is time to introduce economy measures in the Telugu film industry.

Expressing its support to MAA on Saturday, the FDA stated that there was need to cut down cost of film production.The letter said the FDA would extend full cooperation to the Telugu Film Producers' Council in this regard.

Meanwhile, the Movie Artistes’ Association (MAA) has convened an emergency meeting for April 26 to discuss these issues on priority basis and to save the Telugu film industry from immenent economic crisis.
