Natasimha Nandamuri Balakrishna surprised political analysts by overcoming the strong pro Jagan wave and retained his constituency Hindupur to become MLA once again in the recently held elections in Andhra Pradesh.
Balakrishna for long has been sailing on two boats, films and politics. Of late, pressure is mounting on him to enter into full fledged politics. Inside talk is former AP CM, TDP chief Chandra Babu Naidu too is planning to make him in charge of the party in Rayalaseema to revive the fortunes after the crushing defeat.
But Balakrishna made it clear that he will not enter into full time politics. He has lined up a project with director KS Ravikumar and is planning films with Boyapati Srinu and VV Vinayak. He is in talks with Anil Ravipudi too.
Many are wondering whether Balakrishna will have a positive or negative effect. Balakrishna often carries his on screen image in real life and this lands him in trouble. His aggression and irresponsible acts like hitting people surrounding him and senseless talk may act against the party in negative manner.
But supporters say his entry into fulltime politics will galvanize the party and cadre, motivating them to put in extra effort.
