Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao had once warned the media organizations of serious action for broadcasting the news items embarrassing Telangana. The Govt had pass privilege motion against the media organizations which insulted Telangana assembly and its MLAs. KCR blasted yellow media for their comments on the MLAs in the assembly.

Taking cue from Telangana CM, Ys Jagan Mohan Reddy, who was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, warned one section of media for favoring former Chief Minister N Chandra Babu Naidu.

"The media in AP wants only Chandra Babu Naidu to be CM," he alleged naming Eenadu, Andhra Jyothi newspapers and TV 5 Telugu news channel. "We will file defamation cases if they attempt to tarnish the image of the government," he said.

YS Jagan’s first signature was on oldage pension hike. “Grandmothers and grandfathers would say their pension was mere Rs. 1000. My first signature will be on pensions,” said Jagan who promised the old age pension will be increased to Rs. 2250 this year. "It will be increased to Rs. 2500 next year," he adds.
