Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and TDP Chief N Chandra Babu Naidu along with his family- wife Bhuvaneshwari, son Nara Lokesh and daughter-in-law Brahmani casted vote in Amaravati.

As we reported earlier, voting has been delayed in a number of polling booths in Andhra Pradesh due to malfunctioning EVMs. In the wake of reports of faulty EVMs, Chandra Babu Naidu has reiterated his demand to have the voting machines with paper ballots.

Chandra Babu also demanded to conduct re-polling in several areas where EVMs are not functioning. He said 30 percent of the voting machines had malfunctioned, because of which polling started nearly three hours late at many places. “EVM is not working where Chief Electoral Officer Gopal Krishna Dwivedi went to cast his vote,” informed Babu.

Naidu affirmed EC should review its stand on EVMs. "We have been saying for long that there is possibility for technical problems and manipulation in EVMs. Even technologically advanced countries are using ballot papers," CBN said.

At the 163rd booth in Kadapa city, the button representing the 'fan' symbol did not respond. In the 106th booth in Mydukur also, the 'cycle' symbol was unresponsive. Polling booth officers changed the EVMs immediately on complaints.
