Speaker Kiran Kumar Reddy on Saturday adjourned the House to Monday as the Opposition stuck to their guns demanding discussion on rising prices of essential commodities.

When the House met for the day, the Opposition stalled the proceedings in the House and forced the Speaker to adjourn the House four times.

The Opposition parties targeted the government only on two issues—pressing for discussion on rising prices of essential commodities and the Chief Minister leaving the House abruptly on Friday when the Opposition Leader N Chandrababu Naidu was speaking on the state budget.

The Opposition created a pandemonium over CM leaving the House and wasted nearly two-and-half hours precious time. This forced Speaker to adjourn the House two times.

Later, the Opposition insisted for immediate discussion on skyrocketing prices of essential commodities and cut down in prices of petrol and diesel.

As the Opposition did not relent, unable to go ahead with the business, the Speaker adjourned the House for Monday.
