TPCC vice-president Ponnam Prabhakar on Thursday came down heavily on the Centre saying that it failed to act against those stashing black money in foreign banks.

Speaking to media persons here, Ponnam took pot shots at Prime Minister Narendra Modi saying that he failed to act against those stashing black money in foreign bank. What steps did Modi take against his Cabinet colleagues who are stashing black money? he asked.

The former Karimnagar MP questioned as to how Swarna Bharati Trust run by Union Minister Venkaiah Naidu got huge funds running into hundreds of crores. He dared the PM to question his minister on how they amassed so much wealth. He said that the poor and the middle class are worst hit due to the Centre’s demonetization policy. Lakhs of daily wagers have lost their livelihood due to the Centre’s illogical move to ban high value notes, he said.

The Congress leader also criticised Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao questioning as to why he was backing cashless economy move. Is the TS Finance Minister Eatala Rajender able to operate his bank account on his mobile, he remarked.
