A.K Khan takes over as CCP

Hyderabad, Jan 21: A K Khan on Thursday took over as the City Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad. He replaced B Prasada Rao, who has been posted  as managing director of Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation.Khan is an Indian Police Service officer of the 1981 batch and was additional DG, law.

In Khan’s place, the authorities brought in M Ratan, chairman of the Police Recruitment Board and an IPS officer from the Telangana region.According to police sources, Ratan was brought in to balance the regional equations as DGP R R Girish Kumar hails from  Andhra region and Khan from Rayalaseema.
