YSR Congress chief  Ys Jagan Mohan Reddy has announced that the party would observe a state wide bandh on August 2 to protest the Centre’s denial of SCS for Andhra Pradesh.

The YSRC chief has appealed the people of the state to participate in the state-wide bandh  to register their protest for the Centre decision which he termed as gross injustice to the state.

Jagan squarely held TDP responsible for the fiasco alleging that Chief Minister and TDP chief N. Chandrababu Naidu did not do anything to make Centre accord SCS to AP. “Naidu did not pressurize the Centre in this regard. He is mired in corruption and to escape the law, he did not put pressure on the Centre to accord SCS to AP," Jagan alleged. He also came down heavily on the BJP saying that the TDP and BJP colluded to deprive the state of its legal right of special status to tide over the financial crisis and for the development of new capital. He warned that the people of the state would teach a lesson to both the parties for taking them for a ride on the contentious issue.
