Why blame us when HC falls under Central List: AP

Reacting to the ongoing agitation in Telangana demanding division of the High Court, AP Deputy Chief Minister K.E. Krishnamurthy said that the subject falls under the Central list.

Krishnamurthy pointed out that the Andhra Pradesh Government had already come forward to construct High Court for AP and the land for the same was also identified. It is the responsibility of the Centre to allot funds and ensure that AP had its own High Court at the earliest, he added.

The entire issue has nothing to do with AP, he said. When the High court is in the Central List, it is not proper to blame the AP government for the delay in division of the High court.
