Municipal Administration Minister K. Tarakarama Rao on Monday said that the State Government would not tolerate any unauthorized constructions in the city and would register criminal cases against those undertaking constructions without permissions.

Addressing a press conference after making a surprise visit to some areas in the GHMC limits, Ktr said that he was in receipt of several complaints, especially those related to bad condition of roads. In order to verify those complaints, Ktr said he himself drove on those roads in her personal car. On Monday, the Minister, along with Mayor Bonthu Rammohan, Deputy Mayor Baba Fasiuddin, GHMC Commissioner Dr. B. Janardhan Reddy, along with heads of various departments visited various areas like Sri Nagar Colony, Yousufguda, Gajularamaram, Qutbullapur, Shapur and expressed his dissatisfaction over poor maintenance of the roads.

The Minister said that joint working groups were deriving good results at Zonal level and the same has to be implemented in all circle offices duly constituting joint working groups involving all the line departments at the circle level for effective coordination to take up the civic related works at the circle level.

The Minister expressed his satisfaction for overall working of the emergency control room where one can dial 100 to sort out the grievances during heavy down pours and further stated that all the line departments are coordinating in a very good spirit whenever emergency situation is being occurred.

After the inspection the Minister along with Mayor and Deputy Mayor has inspected one of the Rs. 5/- food scheme Centre at Shapur X Roads. Later, they had a lunch at the same centre.
