New Delhi, Jan 5: The president of the All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul-Muslimeen (MIM) and Hyderabad MP, Mr Asaduddin Owaisi, on Tuesday argued for the imposition of President’s rule to bring the troubled State back to normalcy.Putting forward his point of view at the all-party meeting called by the Union Home Ministry at New Delhi to find a solution to the separate Telangana tangle, Mr Asaduddin said before a decision is taken on Telangana, normalcy should be restored in the State and this, he felt can be done by bringing the State under Central rule.

Besides Mr Asaduddin, his brother and party MLA, Mr Akbaruddin Owaisi, also attended the all-party meet.Talking to the media on the conclusion of the four-hour-long meeting, the MIM chief suggested constitution of a high-powered committee to resolve the decades-long contentions issue of formation of a separate state for Telangana. He observed that all the parties are divided vertically on the Telangana issue and the leaders from their respective regions spoke their point of view on the matter.
