OU students fume over Ministers withdrawing their resignations

Hyderabad, Dec 31: The Joint Action Committee of Osmania University students on Friday did not take the withdrawal of the resignations by Telangana Ministers lightly and they saw that the move would dilute theTelangana movement.The JAC members took exception to the Telangana Ministers deciding to withdraw their resignations following the Centre’s call to hold an all-party meet on Jan 5 to thrash out the contentious Telangana statehood issue.

The angry JAC leaders alleged that the Centre was depriving the legitimate rights of Telangana people by going back on its promises several times.The leaders alleged that the Congress has no firm commitment on forming separate Telangana state.Although the Telangana Ministers warned the government that they would not withdraw their resignations till Telangana state was formed, they did not stand by their word and betrayed the Telangana people, they charged.The JAC called upon the villagers to boycott all ministers’ programmes when they visit their villages.
