Deputy CLP leader T Jeevan Reddy on Tuesday accused the State Government of ignoring the welfare of farmers in Telangana.

Addressing a press conference at the Congress Legislature Party office here, Jeevan Reddy said that the government has failed to waive off crop loans despite the end of Khariff season. The farmers also did not get quality seeds or power during the Khariff season. He alleged that about 200 farmers committed suicide in the last four months due to the negligent attitude of the government. As against the promise of seven hours power supply, the government did not provide quality power to farmers even for two hours.

Jeevan Reddy said that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao was responsible for worsening of situation in the State. He said instead of accepting the responsibility for failures, KCR has been using abusive language against his opponents to divert people's attention.
