The Chief Minister Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy on Friday lashed out at the Opposition and Telugu Desam Legislature Party leader N Chandrababu Naidu for shedding crocodile tears on Girijan community’s welfare.
The Chief Minister said that the Congress government has taken many welfare schemes for the upliftment of girijans during its regime.
During a discussion in the assembly session, when the opposition members questioned the government stand on the filling-up of backlog SC/ST vacancies in various departments, the Tribal Welfare Minister P Balaraju said that the government would issue a notification soon to fill up all backlog vacancies.
When the opposition leaders not satisfied over the Minister’s reply the Chief Minister intervened in the discussion and said more priority has been given to tribal welfare during Congress regime only.
