Jagan to tour round A.P

Kadapa, Dec 2 : Son of late Y.S Rajasekhar Reddy and Kadapa MP Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy on Wednesday indicated that he would tour round the state, in a bid to strengthen the Congress Party in the state and help energise the hands of All India Congress Committee supremo Sonia Gandhi.Addressing a meeting of Congress cadres at Pulivendula, where his mother Vijayalakshmi filed her nomination papers for the Assembly seat on Tuesday, Jagan said he would soon undertake the statewide tour on the path taken by his father to strengthen his party in Andhra Pradesh.

 He promised to stand by the Congress party in the state.Jagan who was projected as the successor to the post of Chief Minister, which was vacated by his father's sudden demise, was not supported by the Congress high command. Instead, K Rosaiah has been formally saddled by the Congress Legislature Party at the behest of the party's central leadership.Jagan said despite his mother's reluctance, she had consented to be the party's candidate for Pulivendula on the suggestion of Sonia Gandhi. Jagan also expressed his gratitude towards Chief Minister K Rosaiah for his suppport and the Telugu Desam, Praja Rajyam parties which decided against fielding their candidates as a tribute to his late father.
