Even if we did have the chance to select the right ones like The Lunchbox and All We Imagine As Light, we messed it up.”He added, “The most important qualification for eligibility should be that the film should have gone to some international festival outside India or should have had American distribution or should have had an American distributor before year-end. Gondhal should first try to get seen at festivals. That has to be the first step, or all the money spent on screenings or advertising is a waste. Also, the IFFI is a recognised Indian film festival. I urge popular artists not to endorse products that are harmful to people's health. A true star is the one who spreads light, not darkness."Now, Tukaram Mundhe, Maharashtra FDA Commissioner who is hogging the limelight for his strict action against adulterated food items in various restaurants, hotels and eateries came up with a strong warning to the film stars.He said Mundhe shared a video of the President's speech on X and reiterated his stance. Hyderabad, Nov 19: The Lok Satta Party has set an example by adding three rooms to an upper primary school at a cost of Rs 300,000 in the flood-ravaged Kesavaram village in Aija mandal of Mahabubnagar district within a month of taking up the work. The Lok Satta Party had adopted the village to undertake all-round development following the trail of destruction left by floods in River Tungabhadra on October 2.&nbsp; Most of the 400 houses in the village with a population of 2000 were damaged and four hundred acres of land was sand-cast.
&nbsp; The Lok Satta Party undertook a comprehensive survey of the problems of the village and submitted a report to the Collector.The Lok Satta Party deployed modern technology &ndash; Light Weight Construction Methodology introduced by LCM India Private Limited --to augment accommodation in the school by adding three class-rooms with a total plinth area of 1000 square feet to the existing four rooms in less than a month.&nbsp; LCM India Managing Director G V Raghava Raju and Secretary of the Lok Satta Party unit in Qutbullapur constituency, has stayed in the village for more than a month to supervise school construction.
The Lok Satta team in the village under the leadership of Mr Raghava Raju, succeeded getting five unauthorized liquor outlets in the village shut down.&nbsp; As a result, most of the residents have stopped drinking. The team also worked with electricity authorities and got power supply restored and seven new transformers erected in place of damaged ones. They educated the village women who have been heavily dependent on micro finance at exorbitant interest to access bank loans at three percent interest.State Mahila Satta convener N Saroja Devi and party spokesperson K Geetha Murthy coordinated the activities in the village from the Hyderabad-end.Giving this information at a media conference, party spokespersons Mrs N Saroja Devi, Mrs K Geetha Murthy, Mr V Vijayender Reddy and Mr Bhisetty Babji said that while the Government was yet to initiate construction of houses for flood victims the Lok Satta fulfilled its promise.

Hyderabad, Nov 19: Chief Minister K.Rosaiah on Thursday said the State has taken the lead in implementing Central regulations with respect to Prevention of Child Marriages, Right to Education, Right to Information, Prevention of Child Labour etc. He said the government would ensure to work diligently for the survival, development, education and participation of all its children.
In an informal chat with his officials, on the eve of the Media Launch of the special edition of the World Children's Report 2010, Rosaiah said the partnership between the state Government and the UNICEF is helping to focus on projects based on health, education, HIV-AIDS and child protection to address comprehensive approach towards women empowerment.Expressing happiness his happiness in adopting these documents in Telugu and Urdu, the Chief Minister said the children have been kept in mind. The new Child-friendly booklet on Conventions of the Child Rights should help all children to know their rights.
&nbsp;The special issue of the UNICEF's state of the World's Children tracks the impact of the Convention on the Rights of the Child.He said since its adoption by the UN General Assembly in 1989, the Convention had been ratified by 193 countries, including India in 1992, and its principles have taken root in regional, national and local legislatures.&nbsp; ``It's very encouraging to note that since 1990, more than 70 countries have incorporated children's codes into national legislation as part of reform efforts based on the Convention's provisions," he said. Rosaiah said one of the Convention's positive impacts in the last decade has been the legislative changes which have enhanced the care and protection of children.
 The Chief Minister also congratulated the UNICEF for its focus on problems faced by children in Andhra Pradesh and hoped it would continue its efforts to ameliorate the conditions of kids in the State.UNICEF representative for Andhra and Karnataka, Michel Saint Lot, Women and Child Welfare Principal Secretary Chaya Ratan and others are expected to attend the launch of Unicef&nbsp; media report on Friday. &nbsp;

He tried to entertain all by highlighting the fight of the oppressed against the powerful, rich and dreaded people who wields an iron like grip. He starts the narration in an interesting manner and till the introduction of the lead actor, the intensity is maintained in a perfect manner.However, the romantic track slowed the pace of the narration and the story goes nowhere. It comes back to the track with the conflict between the hero and the villian and also the mother-son emotional bonding. The intensity reaches its peaks during the pre interval block before setting the stage for the second half.The second half continues in the same manner with protagonist and antagonist baying for each other's blood and the oppressed sect fighting for recognition. It also boils down whether they should fight for the recognition or for the survival to live another day to continue the fight. The film ends in a predictable tone with many cinematic liberties taken and missing logics hampering the realistic feel.Right after the start, one gets a feeling that something is a miss. Most of the scenes are included and shot only to give elevations. Though the start and introduction of the protagonist increase the curiosity levels, the same is not maintained in the next scenes. Kayadu Lohar's characterisation looked extremely odd and the introduction of Raghav Juyal looks absurd. The scenes of son hating mother is also not established properly. The mother's love for son should have been established in a different manner than selling herself to cure his fever. The interval episode after all the hype, looked normal.The second half picks up pace thanks to the protagonist's decision. However with the scenes turning monotonous and routine ,one cannot travel with them. The role of MLA similar to KCR generates interest. The way the Govt brands the oppressed people as terrorists smacks of logic. Same is the case with the pre climax and climax which turned out to be below average. Srikanth Odela failed as a writer and his direction turned out to be pretty average.Anirudh Ravichander came up with a thumping background score. He took the scenes to the next level with his background music. However at times, his background music turned extremely loud. He came up with two foot tapping tunes and the songs are shot in a beautiful manner. The editing of Naveen Nooli could have been better. There are many scenes that repeated and slowed the tempo of the narration. &nbsp;GK.Vishnu with his cinematography added value to the proceedings. Nani came up with a sincere and stunning performance. He also underwent remarkable transformation for his role. Srikanth Odela turned successful in giving mass image and elevating Nani's mass mannerism to the next level in the film. Nani showed good intensity in the mass role. He sported a new look and there ends the so-called novelty and creativity in the story. Srikanth Odela's story offered nothing new. Many such stories came earlier and except for Nani's braids, his look resembled that of Ram Charan in Peddi. Even some of the dance moves resembled the same.On top of it, though he did many stunts, many looked forced and artificial. After the intense start, Srikanth Odela turned the narration into a predictable one with romantic elements etc. Couple of scenes in the first half stand and except that , it does not offer anything new and high. He tried to elevate the mother-son sentiment but the scenes do not connect chords as they looked forced and disappeared in the intense action sequences.In his quest to take Nani's mass image to the next level, Srikanth Odela did not concentrate on the story, screenplay and direction. Story looked predictable and one gets a feeling that he drew inspiration from Peddi, Devara, KGF, Pushpa, Salaar and many others. The chapter wise narration reminds one of the successful template of Dhurandhar. In the name of emotions, most of the actors went over the top bringing in artificiality. Similarly, he has taken many cinematic liberties and logics went missing. Excessive violence and use of obscene words and dialogues did not create the required impact.Reworking on the story and script and racy screenplay would have added value to the narration. Considering all these elements, Cinejosh goes with a 2.25 rating for The Paradise.

The entire first half sails through in an entertaining and hilarious manner ending on a interesting emotional twist, setting the stage for the second half.Emotions takes the center stage in the second half with few comedy scenes in-between. The emotions of various female characters are highlighted. However, seeing those scenes on the screen, one gets a feeling that the director got stuck up with the 80s problems and melodrama associated with them. But for all his hard work to pierce the hearts of the viewers with emotional scenes pertaining to men and women, misfired completely. The climax emotional scene turned out to be over dramatic and missed the basic emotions. Once the film ends, viewers will heave a sigh of relief after all the emotional torture. The screenplay resembles that of many old films of the 80s and 90s.Subramaniyan Manigandan turned the scenes colorful with his cinematography. He showed the locations of France in a beautiful and visually appealing manner on the screen. &nbsp;Shekar Chandra's songs turned out to be average. He tried to thrill viewers with a thriller. He starts the narration diving into the main point of the missing girl and then the investigation that follows subsequently. The first half proceeds with the conflict between two cops and the revelation about Meghana and the interrogation of the suspects. The first half ends on an interesting note with few surprising revelations setting the tone for the second half.The second half goes further into murders and drugs etc. The first half included a song to highlight the father-daughter sentiment but it failed to generated the required emotions. The song placement looked odd and out of sync. They could have easily done away with the song.The main villian revelation did not excite anyone as the director failed to keep the viewers engaged with the suspense till the end. Viewers can easily guess the villian even before the end of the first half thus diluting the intensity levels in the second half. Many such films came earlier and the narration dragged with the routine breakup story of Karthik testing the patience of the viewers. The interval twist turns out to be decent and the second half turns little racy. But the predictable elements robbed the viewers of the excitement.Though few scenes in the runup to the finding of Meghana looked good, the weak villian turned out to be the main drawback. The climax ends on a routine note with an action sequence. There are many routine and predictable scenes in the second half as the narration proceeds towards the climax.The cinematography of Sam K Naidu is good. He showed the visuals in an appealing manner. However in few scenes, the color grading &nbsp;is not done at all robbing the viewers of the seamless experience on the screen. RR.Dhruvan's background music failed to make an impact. Apart from it, he also highlighted the emotions between brothers and sisters.However, the screenplay assumed predictable trope and the narration lacked the exciting and interesting twists and turns. His dialogues had an anglical accent and this may not go well with all viewers. He is good on screen with his body language, dialogue delivery and emotions.Kayadu Lohar is ok in her role. She looked good on the screen but got limited scope to show her acting talent. Antony Varghese Pepe steals the show with his impactful performance. So did Samyukta Viswanathan in her role. Mysskin played the role of the antagonist and his role is too predictable. To over come that he tried to bring in eccentricity but it impacted in a negative way. He came up with an interesting and exciting plot. However the narration and screenplay shifts completely turning the entire thing into a disjointed one. Nihas Hidayath narrated so many things and this makes viewers get accustomed to the happenings and the characters. But Nihas regained his composure and once he dealt with the main story, the narration turns interesting. But there are many scenes and characters that looked forced and out of sync to the story.While the first half after the initial confusion, turns interesting in the run up to the interval and brings an end setting to the exciting second half, the second half sinks even further. There are many unnecessary characters and the flat narration and uninspiring execution played the spoil sport. The flashback episodes undoes all the good intentions. Everything ended up irritating and testing the patience of the viewers.The music and background tuned by Jakes Bejoy turned out to be a disappointing affair. He tried to elevate the scenes that offered nothing new. Jimshi Khalid's cinematography got nothing much to excite . &nbsp;The editing of Chaman Chakko could have been far better as there are scenes that impacted the flow of the narration. In trying to include more twists and turns, he introduced numerous characters ending up confusing the viewers. Everything turned flat and he failed to do justice with disappointing execution. A little finetuning of the script, racy screenplay, doing away with predictability could have added more spice to the proceedings. Considering all these aspects, Cinejosh goes with a 1.75 rating for I'm Game.

I'M Game Review

Hyderabad, Nov 19: The Andhra Pradesh High Court on Thursday lifted the stay issued by the Anantapur District Forest Officer Kallol Biswas in the mining activity by the Obulapuram Mining Corporation, owned by Karnataka Tourism Minister Gali Janardhana Reddy.The High Court said the mining operations can continue, observing that the grounds given by the Government for stopping the mining activity were not reasonable.
The directive came following a petition by the OMC against the orders of the DFO.The opposition parties in the state, led by Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu, has demanded that the Government stop the mining activity of OMC immediately. They have also submitted a representation to the State Governor in the matter.
