The visit of Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy to New Delhi on Friday has raised several speculations among the political circles, especially the Congress party.

While a few leaders believe that the Chief Minister would face action for his open opposition to the decision taken by Congress High Command on Telangana, others think that the Central leadership might avoid a direct confrontation with Kiran Kumar Reddy and make him abide by the decision. Speaking to media persons here, former minister JC Diwakar Reddy ruled out the possibility of replacement of the Chief Minister. He said that the party High Command would not resort to any drastic action at this stage.

However, he said that the Congress High Command's mood would be known only after the meeting of the Coordination Committee meeting on Friday.

Meanwhile, another minister TG Venkatesh said that the Congress High Command was angry with the desecration of statues of former Prime Ministers Pandit Nehru, Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi in Seemandhra region during Samaikhyandhra region. Although the High Command does not hold the Chief Minister responsible for the same, but his open opposition to the Telangana formation has weakened his stand. However, he said that no leader would accept the Chief Minister's post at this juncture.
