The Telangana Rashtra Samithi on Thursday demanded that a special session of Parliament be convened to introduce and pass the Bill for the formation of Telangana State.

Talking to reporters, TRS floor leader said that the formation of Telangana should not be delayed by way of constituting one committee or the other. He said that the Congress party should prove its sincerity towards the Telangana by passing the Bill in Parliament at the earliest. He warned the ruling party of serious consequences if it tries to play politics on the statehood issue.

Etala appealed to the employees, teachers, workers and students to participate in large numbers in the "Sakala Janula Bheri" being organised by the Telangana Political Joint Action Committee on September 29. He also announced that the TRS would soon convene a public meeting in Karimnagar.

The TRS leader also accused some news channels of trying to spread falsehood over the Telangana issue. Asking the people to boycott "Seemandhra channels", he warned the media groups of dire consequences if they try to sabotage the statehood cause. He also appealed to the people to watch only Telangana channels to protect themselves from being influenced from Seemandhra propaganda.
