AICC General Secretary and incharge of State Congress Affairs Digvijay Singh on Thursday said that the Congress Core Committee will take a decision on Telangana issue during its meeting scheduled to be held on Friday.
Digvijay Singh made it clear that the decision on Telangana could not be postponed anymore. However, he said that the CCC would have two options open - either to maintain the status quo or create a separate State. He also indicated that the Congress alone could not take a decision Telangana it would have to take other UPA partners into the loop before announcing its decision.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, PCC president Botsa Satyanarayana and Deputy Chief Minister Damodar Rajanarasimha have reached the national capital with their roadmaps which would be presented before the CCC.
The senior leaders of Congress party from both - the Telangana and Seemandhra regions too are camping in Delhi to press for their demand.
