TRS shifts to elections mode

Trs has shifted into elections mode. After the politburo meeting the party seems to be putting its plan into action.

Trs President K Chandrasekhar Rao held discussion with Congress leader K Kesava Rao and Mandha Jagannadham sending enough signals that would be some polarisation.

Trs firmly announcing that it will release the list in a couple of month’s shows that it has shifted to election mode.

Some of the TDP leaders are also in touch with the party is a known fact.

With the party firmly announcing that it will have no pre poll alliance, only CPI will be having some seat adjustments and it will be Trs versus the rest in the Telangana region.

While the city is a complex issue, the hotbed of agitation Warangal, Karimnagar amd Medak will see good response to Trs while in other parts the seats will be split.

Whether Trs ambition of winning 15 Lok Sabha and 100 assembly seats to have a say in the city and state politics will be fulfilled or not reamins to be seen.

Congress, TDP, YSRCP and CPM will be jostling for space in Adilabad, Mahbubnagar, Nizamabad, Nalgonda and Ranga Reddy districts.

Trs will now be focusing on roping in leaders from other parties which may cause some dissent among the party ranks but this is not a new phenomenon. It remains to be seen how the ruling Congress and TDP, which have considerable seats in the region take up the challenge.

BJP will emerge as a powerful challenger as it has the slogan of getting Telangana and the national leaders also backing the idea. It has won an assembly seat in Mahbubnagar and stands a threat to Trs.

Things become more complex with every passing day as Trs too have detractors and the sentiment is not that strong as it was earlier. How far the Trs strategy of going alone works remains to be seen.
