The Telangana Political Joint Action Committee on Sunday announced the agitation schedule aimed at pressuring the Centre to concede the demand for formation of separate Telangana State.

Briefing the media about the decisions taken during the Tpjac meeting held here, Tpjac chairman Prof M Kodandaram said that this time the agitation would be more intense and widespread and would be aimed against the Congress leaders.

The JAC will organise a bus yatra from Shamshabad to Alampur in Mahbubnagar district on February 11 and 12. Protests will be held in the constituencies represented by Congress leaders from February 16 to 21. Further, the Tpjac will organise 24-hour blockades on the Hyderabad-Bengaluru national highway on February 24 and Hyderabad-Vijayawada national highway on March 2Another bus yatra will be taken out from Hayatnagar to Kodad on the Vijayawada National Highway on February 27 and 26.

Kodandaram said that the JAC would organise "Chalo Assembly" programme in March during the budget session of the State Legislative Assembly starting next month.

The JAC Chairman accused the Centre of delaying the decision on Telangana on one pretext or the other. He demanded that the Congress leaders quit the party and posts to join the statehood agitation.
