Hyderabad,  Nov  2: Leaving behind the defeat it tasted in the assembly and Lok Sabha polls, Telugu Desam Party   has stepped up its campaign  for the  Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation  elections scheduled for November  23. Senior party leader, Nagam Janardhana Reddy convened a meeting of party leaders and workers in Rajendrananagar on Monday. Expressing  the confidence that the party would do well in GHMC limits,the former  minister in TDP’s rule said that only during the time of TDP regime the city of Hyderabd developed rapidly and attained the status of an international city.If voted to power the TDP will continue to strive to take the city to greater heights and provide the best amenities for the citizens of the twin cities.’’

Addressing  the  party  worker  Nagam said `` the party will encourage youth and all those who worked hard in the  last elections. The leadership  will recognize   all those who will put in their best in the ensuing elections. It is for the partymen to see that TDP is restored to its previous glory."Enthused by the pep talk, the party cadre  responded  positively  and said  that they would  strive hard for TDP’s victory.campaign  the  main weapon the TDP proposes to  use against the  Congress  is  to  focus on the failure of the government in improving the infrastructural facilities of the people and maintain effective law and order. It  will also  highlight the Bholakpur incident in which 14 people lost their lives by drinking polluted water, the increase in the number of road accidents, frequent power cuts, incidents of attack on girls, failure to contain rising prices of essential commodities, high levels of corruption, etc.
