Congress shortlists representatives for All-Party meeting

The Congress Party on Wednesday shortlisted the names of representatives who would attend the All-Party meeting on Telangana being held at New Delhi on December 28.

According to sources, the names were shortlisted by Pradesh Congress Committee president Botsa Satyanarayana in consultation with Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy. However, the list will be sent to Union Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad for final approval.

Party sources have also confirmed the participation of Kiran Kumar Reddy in the All-Party meeting. However, he would attend the meeting in the capacity of the Chief Minister and not as the representative of the Congress Party. It may be mentioned that earlier Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde has written to the Chief Minister asking him to be present in the meeting.
