BJP State President G Kishan Reddy has demanded that the Centre should invite the presidents of all political parties for the all-party meeting on Telangana to be held on December 28.

Addressing a press conference after party's Core Committee meeting at State BJP Headquarters at Nampally, Kishan Reddy informed that he wrote a letter to Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde requesting him to invite Sonia Gandhi (Congress), N Chandrababu Naidu (TDP) and YS Vijayalakshmi (YSRCP) to participate in the all-party meeting. He said the party's stand on Telangana would come out clearly if the presidents themselves attend the all-party meeting.

Kishan Reddy said that the BJP has already clarified its stand in favour of Telangana in both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. Therefore, he said that the Congress party, instead of seeking the stand of other parties, should spell out its own stand on Telangana issue.

The BJP leader also asked Telangana Rashtra Samithi to clarify its stand on Telangana issue. He said while the TRS had an alliance with the Congress party in 2004, it aligned with the TDP in 2009. Therefore, he said that the TRS should clarify its stand before the all-party meeting.

Kishan Reddy also demanded that if PCC president Botsa Satyanarayana, Chandrababu Naidu and Vijayamma were in favour of Telangana, then BJP would join them in holding an all-party dharna before the Parliament House demanding Telangana.

BJP floor leader E Lakshminarayana was also present in the press conference.
