Hyderabad,Oct 29: The State Cabinet which met under the chairmanship of Chief Minister K Rosaiah took many decisions on Thursday.The Cabinet has decided to appoint additional joint collectors for 22 districts in the state except for Rangareddy district, to reduce burden on the District Collectors.The government also planned to recruit most of the additional joint collectors from revenue department only.The cabinet also took a decision to set up a permanent court for Satyam multi-crore scam to speed up the trial.To contain the epidemic and viral diseases in tribal areas, the government would upgrade facilities in all district hospitals. For dengue patients, the government would set up special wards and treat the victims free of cost.

The government would also provide blood platelets free of cost to these victims.The government would also depute mobile vehicles equipped with ultramodern-health equipment to remote villages in rural areas to contain viral fevers. The government would also give additional facilities to those doctors who come forward to work in tribal areas.The government also decided to upgrade six Regional Deputy Director posts in Information and Public Relations department.The state government has taken a decision to sanction pension to toddy tappers from this year.About 75,000 toddy tappers, who crossed more than 50 years age, would be eligible to benefit under the scheme. However, the government made it clear that they should be the members of district toddy cooperative societies.The government would give Rs 200 as pension for toddy tappers. For this purpose the government has allocated Rs 18 crores.
