Especially with the Haj season having commenced, pilgrims are finding it a big inspiration.It is a labour of love. And the architect of this model is a non-Muslim. It has taken Gatti Anil Kumar of Vishakapatnam three years of painstaking effort to come up with an exact copy of the &lsquo;Kaba&rsquo;, the large cube building, which Muslims face five times a day during prayer &ndash; no matter where they are.
The mosque around the Kaba is also reproduced in exact detail. The 8X10 ft model placed in a glass case has all the features of the grand mosque in great detail &ndash; right from the grey marble colour of the structure to the green tiled sloped canopies on the gates. The nine slender minarets, the Hijr-e-Aswad (black stone), Kiswa (black curtain covering the Kaba), station of Ibrahim, Safa-Marwa, Hateem, Zamzam well &ndash; are all captured in the right dimension. &ldquo;I have spent endless hours making the model and am happy everyone is pleased about it&rdquo;, says the polio-affected Anil.But, why the model of Al Masjid al-Haram? Many Muslims are poor to make the pilgrimage to Makkah and invalids too can&rsquo;t go.
&ldquo;I want them to see this model and get an idea of the mosque and Kaba, which they turn to everyday&rdquo;, says Anil.A lot of study and research has gone into making of the mosque model. But mostly he has depended on the account of persons who have seen the mosque. The basic material used is soft teakwood. Anil&rsquo;s father, Surya, who works in Vishakapatnam Port Trust, has funded the project from his meagre earnings.

The second half turns out to be even more routine and most of the scenes get a dragged feeling as the so-called emotions fail to make an impact even in the climax.The editing of Dinesh Peddi lacked crispness. He should have used the editing scissors more effectively. Sehkar Chandra's music is ok but the songs fail to make an impact on the viewers. He however came up with a perfect background score to elevate the scenes and emotions to another level. K.Karunakar's cinematography made the film look good on screen. The first half sails off smoothly with the typical introduction of the protagonist in a commercial mass manner and carries it in the same manner. However, in between, he loses steam, but still, the first half ends on a decent note, setting the tone for the second half.He continues in the same manner in the second half but adds a few more intense emotional elements. A couple of twists generate interest, surprising all. The twists come as a surprise in a rather predictable story, and the flat narration, especially in the second half. However, once the twists are unraveled, there is nothing much in the story to take it forward. The climax ends on an emotional note.GV. Prakash Kumar elevated the scenes with his background music. His background score added impact to the emotional scenes. His music and tunes for the songs already became the chartbusters. The Ravi , Swetha love track and the father-daughter marriage episodes ends up testing the patience of the viewers.The court drama and the land dispute in the second half is shown in an illogical and silly manner. The point as to why son is hating his father is not shown in an elaborate manner and the father son bonding is not elevated properly except in the climax.A more racy screenplay, more intense and entertaining script would have added value to the narration. Many expected things to change after Vishal who was seen as a honest and innocent medical representive gets trageted. But nothing of that sorts happen and the entry of other Vishal character is expected to change the proceedings at least in the second half. However, the narration nosedives in the second half to a new low. The scenes featuring Vishal, Dushara Vijayan lack the emotional connect and looks mundane and the so called comedy with Thambi Ramaiah doesn't work.Things doesn't change in the second half and the so called flashback episode which is expected to take the film to next level is dragged to the core testing the patience of the viewers. The chemistry between Vishal and Anjali looked odd on screen and to the irritation of viewers, the pre climax and climax is dragged to the next level leaving people wonder when the film will end. The climax fight looked silly and illogical leaving all shocked. The story is outdated and screenplay and direction didnot inspire any confidence.GV. Prakash Kumar's music offered nothing new.
