BJP state president G Kishan Reddy on Friday accused the Centre of making efforts to dilute the "Telangana March" scheduled to be held on September 30 by making false promises that it would take a decision on it soon.

Talking to media persons at Assembly media point, Kishan Reddy said that the Telangana Political Joint Action Committee, all parties and affiliated units from the region would not compromise on the Telangana March and make it a grand success on the lines of Million March held last year. He alleged that some vested elements have launched a malicious campaign against Telangana March and creating hurdles to divert the attention of leaders and people and to dilute the statehood agitation. He appealed to people not to believe such rumours and urged all sections of people to make March a grand success.

Expressing condolences over the demise of veteran freedom fighter Konda Lakshman Bapuji, he recalled his services for the Telangana agitation. He said that achieving Telangana state formation would be a fitting tribute to the departed leader and called upon all to make efforts in this regard.
