The pro-Telangana parties on Thursday sought an unconditional apology from Congress MLA Mastan Vali for calling them "desh drohi" (anti-nationals).

Talking to reporters at Assembly media point, TRS floor leader Etala Rajender, CPI leader G Mallesh and Telangana Nagara Samithi leader Nagam Janardhan Reddy demanded that Mastan Vali withdraw his remarks wherein he described the pro-Telangana MLAs as betrayers or "desh drohis". They said the Telangana MLAs have been speaking on behalf of about 4.5 crore population of the region and demanding statehood for the region as per the aspirations of the people. They said it was unethical and wrong to call Telangana leaders as "desh drohis".

Instead, the Telangana leader said that the Congress leaders who are involved in various scams were "desh drohis" and betrayers of the country. They threatened that they would launch massive protest against the Congress MLA if he does not withdraw his remarks.
