Senior leader and Bharatiya Janata Party national executive committee member Bandaru Dattatreya on Tuesday accused Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy of adopting double standards to get political mileage in the ensuing by-elections.   

In a letter written to Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, Bandaru Dattatreya stated that the Chief Minister, who claimed that the government would initiate stern action against those who resort to corruption and illegal methods, himself resorting to lure the voters by distributing money and liquor and following double standards violating established rules and regulations.

By adopting double standards, the Chief Minister insulting the democratic process in the ensuing by-elections, he pointed out.

By claiming legacy of Father of Nation Mahatma Gandhi, the Congress party resorting to distribution of money and liquor to win the by-elections at any cost, he alleged.

However, the Congress would not be in a position to get deposits in the by-elections despite making political gimmicks and campaign by Central leaders, he stated and added the people are not in a position to believe the cheap tricks of the Congress party.
