Anam against using YSR's photo in by-polls

Nellore MLA Anam Vivekananda Reddy on Tuesday stated that the Congress party would expose those who indulged in corruption and were responsible for encouraging corruption in the State in the ensuing by-elections campaign.

Talking to media persons, Vivekananda Reddy said that the party has not given any clear guidelines over exposing the corruption that took place during the successive governments. He said that the people would know under whose tenure corruption was rampant and how the wealth of the State was looted.

The minister said that the CBI would come out with the list of accused who were involved in the corruption after completion of its investigations in various cases. “Entire world will know who were corrupt and accumulated wealth through illegal means,” he said. He alleged Kadapa MP Jagan Mohan Reddy misused the official position of his father and former chief minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy in accumulating illegal wealth. He said that those indulged in corruption were the heirs of YSR and not the Congress party.

Stating that Congress used father of nation Mahatma Gandhi, former prime ministers Jawaharlal Nehru, Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi photos, he said that the Congress party would go to by-elections campaign without using YSR’s photo this time.
