Hyderabad, July 10 (TNN): Adviser to Government (irrigation) Mr T S Prakash Rao and Engineer-in-Chief, Telugu Ganga project Mr B V S Prakasa Rao on Friday visited the Mylavaram to inquire into the construction activity taken up in the middle of Mylavaram reservoir in Kadapa district by Bramhani Industries.The two top irrigation experts have been appointed by the Andhra Pradesh government on Thursday to inquire into the construction activity taken up by Bramhani Industries, which is building a steel plant nearby.

Karnataka Minister for Tourism Mr Gali Janardhan Reddy is the promoter of the company.The experts will submit their report to the government recommending action against the persons responsible if they detect any irregularity.

The Chief Minister had ordered inquiry following a report published on Thursday in the Telugu daily Saakshi, owned by Mr Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, Congress MP.The report said Bramhani had laid a 0.5 km long, 100-foot wide road inside the reservoir which would affect the flow of water and reduce the reservoir capacity.
