Telugu Desam president N Chandrababu Naidu on Friday said that he had come up in politics through hard work without any god fathers and also without the muscle power or money power.

Talking to media persons after interacting with the people at Perur village, Naravaripalli, Naidu said “I have survived in politics only because of the good will of voters, support of well wishers and also blessings of elders like N T Rama Rao.”

Naidu, who arrived in his native village along with his family to celebrate the Sankaranti festival, was given a rousing reception at Tirupati airport by his admirers and party workers and taken in a procession up to Chandragiri, about 10 kms from Naravaripalli. He is accompanied by his son Lokesh as well.

Naidu said NTR was an unparalleled charismatic leader, who won the hearts of the people with his acting and soul of voters with his commitment to provide a corruption free government and practiced unadulterated political philosophy. He lamented that the common man and farmers were unable to celebrate Sankranti in true form due to steep hike in prices of essential commodities and crop loss caused by unseasonal rains.

Stating the State has been dominated by liquor, land, mineral and sand mafias, he called upon youth to join active politics to prevent corruption. He blamed the Congress and YSR Congress for corruption and the TRS for deceiving the youth on Telangana.
