Chiranjeevi had always dreamt of becoming the Chief Minister. In fact he was so desperate that he even launched his own party, the PRP and contested the elections. However he could not manage to win even 20 seats and his hopes of becoming CM were dashed. Chiranjeevi then merged his party with the congress.
He has since been nursing dreams of becoming the chief minister sooner than later. With rapid changing developments in the state due to the separate Telangana agitation, Chiru now thinks that his time has come. However, as of now there does not seem to be any chance of his becoming he chief minister. So he is reported to have agreed to become at least a ‘CM’ i.e. cabinet minister in the Kiran Kumar Reddy government.
