Pradesh Congress Committee president Botsa Satyanarayana on Thursday reiterated that the Congress High Command would find a solution to Telangana statehood issue within two months.
Talking to media persons at Gandhi Bhavan after completion of his three-day visit to New Delhi, the PCC chief expressed confidence that the Telangana issue would be resolved soon. He appealed to the employees of State Road Transport Corporation to reconsider their decision on participating in the general strike of Telangana employees.
Stating the RTC employees’ participation in strike would cause lot of inconvenience to commuters, he reminded that it would put additional financial burden on debt-ridden RTC. He also appealed to all striking employees to call off their agitation immediately as the Centre would take a decision on statehood soon.
According to sources, Botsa Satyanarayana would convene a review meeting with RTC officials on Friday in the event of employees’ participation in general strike from September 19.
