Pradesh Congress Committee president Botsa Satyanarayana on Saturday reiterated that the Centre would find a solution to the Telangana statehood within three months.
Speaking to media persons at `Meet the Press’ programme as part of his visit to the Krishna district, the PCC chief expressed confidence that the Centre would announce its decision on the Telangana state formation in three months. Defending Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy’s statement that the Centre would find a solution to Telangana in two months, he said there were both developed and underdeveloped smaller states in the country. However, he said the Telangana state formation will not be linked to smaller or bigger state issue.
Botsa denied reports of him having differences with the Chief Minister. He said that all legislators in the party unanimously elected N Kiran Kumar Reddy as the Chief Minister and there are no differences within the Congress party.
Stating that he strongly believed that former chief minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy was not involved in corruption; Botsa slammed YSR Congress party president Jaganmohan Reddy for tarnishing YSR’s image by involving himself in corrupt methods to accumulate wealth illegally. He said even after his death YSR is an assets for the for the Congress party.
Botsa also denied allegations that Congress was neglecting YSR and said the party was committed to implement his schemes and programmes in the letter and spirit.
