Jagan left Cong fearing exposure of his misdeeds: Botsa

Slamming Ysr Congress Party president YS Jaganmohan Reddy for alleging that the Congress party had intentionally been targeting and foisting cases against him, Pradesh Congress Committee president Botsa Satyanarayana on Thursday sought to corner the Kadapa MP by saying that he had quit the party only because he was fearful that his corrupt deeds would be exposed.

Talking to media persons at Gandhi Bhavan, Mr Satyanarayana stated that Mr Jaganmohan Reddy had quit the Congress as he was neck deep in corruption and was apprehensive that his misdeeds would be exposed by the probing agencies.

“Mr Jaganmohan Reddy was apprehensive that action would be taken against him like in the case of former Union Minister A Raja or former IOC chief Suresh Kalmadi. He thought that by becoming an opposition leader, he could escape the clutches of the law,” the PCC chief said.

“However, the law will take its own course. There is no need for Congress party to foist any false case against Mr Jaganmohan Reddy to take revenge,” he said.

Responding to the defense adopted by Mr Jaganmohan Reddy that the entire Cabinet of former chief minister and his father, YS Rajasekhara Reddy should be held responsible for the decisions taken during his stint, Mr Satyanarayana questioned the validity of the Kadapa MP’s words.
“How can the Cabinet be responsible for decisions taken from behind the scenes,” he questioned.

Mr Satyanarayana also advised Mr Jaganmohan Reddy to take the Central Bureau of Investigation probe as challenge and cooperate with probing agency to come clean in public life.

He also sarcastically suggested to the Kadapa MP to give a lecture at Indian Institute of Management on how he became rich within a couple of years as it would help young entrepreneurs.
