KCR blocking T formation, blaming TDP: Errabelli

Accusing Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhar Rao of blocking the formation of Telangana in order to protect his own interests, Telugu Desam Party Telangana Forum convener Errabelli Dayakar Rao on Monday stated the TRS and the Telangana Political Joint Action Committee were deliberately targeting his party to discredit it.

“There was no need to suspect the commitment of TDP over the Telangana statehood demand. It is KCR who is blocking the creation of Telangana,” Mr Dayakar Rao said, during his address to the gathering at the one-day Deeksha at Indira Park.

The one-day deeksha has been organised to demand the introduction of Telangana Bill in Parliament.

“The TDP Telangana Forum members have submitted their resignations for the cause of statehood and thus showed their commitment to the separate statehood demand. Why are the Telangana Rashtra Samithi and Telangana Political Joint Action Committee targeting the Forum and not recognising the sacrifices of the TDP members,” he thundered.

He appealed to all parties to brush aside the TRS in their fight for forming the Telangana state.

Mr Dayakar Rao also wondered why the TRS and TPJAC leaders were targeting the TDP and party president N Chandrababu Naidu, demanding that he his stand clear on Telangana.

“We are not obstructing the formation of Telangana state. Mr Naidu has already made his stand clear on the issue,” he said.

“If Centre says that it would announce Telangana state based on a letter given by Mr Naidu, we are ready to give that letter within an hour of such an announcement,” Mr Dayakar Rao stated.

The TDP leaders also made it clear there was no question of rethinking on the resignations submitted for the cause of Telangana state and added that the Congress Legislators have to stand by their resignations instead of dillydallying on the subject.

The TDP Forum passed five resolutions, begin formation of Telangana state process by introducing a resolution in Parliament, recruitment for Sub-Inspector posts should only go ahead after the deletion of Clause 14 F from the Presidential Order, solidarity to the proposed employees strike from August 17, submission of resignations afresh in order to create a Constitutional crisis.

The TDP Telangana Forum members also paid rich tributes to the Martyrs, who laid down their lives for the cause of separate statehood.

Mr Dayakar Rao also revealed that the Forum members would observe deekshas at mandal headquarters in Telangana districts on August 6 seeking formation of T state.

TDP senior leaders Kadiam Srihari, Motkupalli Narsimhulu, M Venkateswar Rao, L Ramana, Devender Goud, Seethakka, Jaipal Yadav, MLCs and politburo members participated in the Deeksha.
