Taking a cue from the Congress leaders from Seemandhra regions organising a conference over Samaikhya Andhra Pradesh, the TDP leaders from the regions followed suit on Wednesday and organised a round-table conference at Siddhartha Gardens in Guntur.

Speaking to media persons after the conference, senior party leader K Yerrannaidu demanded that the United Progressive Government (UPA) make a statement in Parliament about keeping the state `Integrated’.

Mr Yerrannaidu disclosed that the round-table conference has unanimously passed a resolution opposing the division of state and vowed to make all possible efforts for keeping the state integrated.

Reiterating that the development of the state is possible only with the state remaining integrated, Mr Yerrannaidu stated the Centre has to adopt the sixth recommendation given by the Justice B N Srikrishna Committee in its Report and keep the state integrated. “This alone will ensure the overall progress of the state,” he said.

Describing the demand for division of the state as conspiracy of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi and the Congress, the senior leader said the TDP has already made its stand clear and there was no need to make any resolution on it.

Mr Yerrannaidu also said that the Seemandhra leaders reaffirmed that they are ready to sacrifice anything for the cause of United Andhra Pradesh at the conference.

The senior leader also called on all Seemandhra leaders to remain united and launch an agitation for keeping the state integrated.

The round-table conference was aimed to chalk out future course of action. TDP Floor leader Ashok Gajapathi Raju, Payyavula Keshav, Yanamala Ramakrishnudu and other leaders from 14 districts attended the round-table conference.
