“Our objectives remain the same, which is a separate Telangana state. I have no objections to working with Prof Kodandaram even though the Telangana Political Joint Action Committee has not given us a favourable response on the Bus Yatra,” the TDP leader said.

He also revealed that Prof Kodandaram had asked the Forum members to defer the bus yatra to take part in the meeting of elected representatives who had resigned from their respective seats. This meeting has been convened for July 9 and July 10.

“I have told we will take a decision on the deferment after discussing the request with forum members,” he said and added the TPJAC chief had been taking decisions unilaterally. “He called for the 48-hour bandh without taking the opinion or support of all Telangana leaders,” Mr Dayakar Rao stated.

He said Kodandaram should have taken the opinion of all representatives before taking any decision on the agitations for the separate state.

The TDP leader also disclosed that the TDP Forum has received an invitation from Telangana People’s Front president Gaddar to attend an all party meeting to thank all the Legislators who resigned. This meeting will be held on Friday evening.

“As we are on the Bus Yatra, we have sent our representatives for the meeting,” Mr Dayakar Rao stated.

He vowed that that the Forum would continue its agitation until the Centre announce a separate Telangana state.
