High on the Chief Minister’s agenda are a number of state subjects like export of rice, seeking Central funds for Central projects and bargaining for both Polavaram and Pranahitha-Chevella projects to be accorded National Project status, among others.

As indicated earlier, the Centre was keen on granting sanction of National status for any one of the two projects.

The state’s option would be, according to Planning Department officials, multi-purpose Polavaram project which was hanging fire since 1943.

Mr Kiran Kumar Reddy is expected to extend his stay in New Delhi by another day, that is, till May 7, in order to negotiate with the Central leaders.

On top of his agenda is his scheduled meeting with All India Congress Committee chairperson Sonia Gandhi.
