Jagan must clarify party agenda before voting: Paladugu

Pointing out that the farmers could possibly face crop losses and economic hardships due to the untimely across the state lashing the state, Member of the Legislative Council and senior Congress Leader Paladugu Venkat Rao on Saturday demanded that the state government immediately take steps to help them.

Talking to media persons at the CLP office on Assembly premises, Mr Venkat Rao said that the government must take all steps to ensure that the farmers across the state do not suffer from any losses.

Turning his attention to the Kadapa by-elections, the MLC lashed out at YSR Congress Party chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy and accused him of targeting his opponent from the Congress, DL Ravindra Reddy’s family.

“These personal attacks on Dr Ravindra Reddy’s family members are unwarranted” he said.

Mr Venkat Rao further said that Dr Ravindra Reddy was an ardent follower and friend of former chief minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy and had never spoken against him. “Mr Jaganmohan Reddy has however chosen to make personal attacks on his father’s friend and associate. How far is this right?” he questioned.

 The MLC further demanded that Mr Jaganmohan Reddy declared his party’s agenda and what strategy he would adopt if elected to the Lok Sabha.

“He would, if he wins, would obviously not support the Congress, nor would he support the Telugu Desam. The Left parties have distanced themselves from him and have accused him of widespread corruption. That leaves only the Bharatiya Janata Party. Would he support the BJP just because it is anti-Congress? Mr Jaganmohan Reddy must make this clear to the people before they cast their votes,” Mr Venkat Rao demanded.
