Condemning the allegations leveled against Ysr Congress Party candidate YS Jaganmohan Reddy, former Road Transport Corporation chairman Gone Prakash Rao said that former minister JC Diwakar Reddy has no moral right to comment against the former MP since he had earned crores of rupees through dubious methods.

Mr Prakash Rao was reacting to the allegations leveled by Mr Diwakar Reddy against Mr Jaganmohan Reddy that he had disclosed his assets correctly in the affidavit filed before the Election Commission.

Talking to media persons at Assembly Media Point, the staunch supporters of the Ysr Congress Party chief stated that there was no need for Mr Jaganmohan Reddy to submit false report on his assets before the Election Commission.

Mr Prakash Rao stated that Mr Jaganmohan Reddy had accrued his income by selling his shares in some companies. “He had also paid taxes on this income,” the former RTC chairman pointed out.

He also condemned Mr Diwakar Reddy for trying to blame the YSR Congress chief for the loss of Congress candidates in the recent Legislative Council elections.

Mr Prakash Rao further alleged that Mr Diwakar Reddy, after using Telugu Desam Party members for cross-voting during the Council elections, was attempting to shift the blame on Mr Jaganmohan Reddy. “The reason behind this is that the former minister wants to cosy up to Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy,” the former RTC chairman stated.

“Mr Jaganmohan Reddy’s nomination was accepted by the EC, despite many hurdles and objections raised by various party leaders,” Mr Prakash Rao pointed out and expressed confidence that the former MP will retain his seat, and that too with a thumping majority.
