Alleging that former AP Government Advisor KVP Ramachandra Rao, former Telecom Minister A Raja and Pune-based stud farm owner Hasan Ali were involved in massive corruption, Telugu Desam Party Deputy Floor Leader in the state Assembly Gali Muddukrishnama Naidu on Thursday called for polygraph tests (lie-detector tests) on them.

Talking to media persons at Telugu Desam Legislature Party Office, Mr Muddukrishnama Naidu then went a step further and said that these lie detector tests should be aired live on television channels so that the people can judge for themselves.

He also demanded that the government publish a comprehensive report on their alleged tax evasions and properties amassed through illegal means after conducting a thorough probe into their ‘activities.’

He described former Kadapa MP YS Jaganmohan Reddy and Congress president Sonia Gandhi as ‘partners-in-crime’ and further alleged that they shared the proceeds of corruption.

Alleging that Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy’s government has ‘totally’ failed in providing 9 hour of power supply to farmers, Mr Muddukrishnama Naidu stated that the Congress leaders lacked commitment. The government has failed to implement the nine hour power supply promise made by former chief minister YSR who had signed the file after assuming power for the second time, the TDP leader stated.

He further expressed confidence that YSR Congress Party president YS Jaganmohan Reddy will be defeated in the by-elections and the TDP candidates would win ‘with a thumping majority.’

This would be the outcome even if the Congress deputes Praja Rajyam Party president K Chiranjeevi, Mr Muddukrishnama Naidu predicted. He added that the Congress too would bite the dust as no crowds turned up to hear Mr Chiranjeevi during his campaigning in the recent Tamil Nadu elections.

Lauding TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu for keeping the TDP flock together, Mr Muddukrishnama Naidu expressed confidence that the party would trounce both the Congress and YSR Congress Party in the by-elections.
