TDP a survivor, bury Congress instead: Motkupalli to KCR

Expressing his serious objections to the reported statement of by Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhar Rao that Telangana people would punish and ‘bury’ the TDP in the state, Telugu Desam Party MLA from Telangana region Motkupalli Narsimhulu on Thursday stated that those who had earlier attempted to ‘bury’ the party are dead.

Mr Narasimhulu condemned KCR for issuing such serious remarks before media persons at Telugu Desam Legislature Party Office on Assembly premises and stated that all those leaders and parties, who made concerted efforts to bury the TDP, have failed in their attempts.

He asked KCR to either ‘bury’ the Congress party for its failure to introduce the Telangana Bill in the Budget Session of Parliament or merge the Trs in the Congress.

“Why is KCR not making any comments against Congress president Sonia Gandhi? Is this because he might have made a secret pact with the Congress chief on Telangana issue? Why he is targeting the TDP, despite it having made its stand clear on Telangana issue?,” Mr Narasimhulu questioned.

He added that the TDP has never obstructed the Telangana Bill and was making sincere efforts for the formation of the Telangana state.

The senior leader also advised KCR to set right the disputes in his family over the functioning of the Trs first, before targeting the TDP.

Alleging KCR of misusing the Telangana agitation for personal gains, Mr Narasimhulu said that the Trs chief should stop the ‘family drama’ and make sincere efforts towards Telangana.

Reacting on KCR’s ‘Chandi Yagam’ for achieving Telangana state, the TDP leader stated that the Trs chief had performed the Yagam to strengthen his party’s waning cadre base and not for Telangana.

Hinting that the Trs chief had made personal gains over the cross-voting during the Legislative Council elections, Mr Narasimhulu also alleged that KCR had made three Trs MLAs scapegoats.

Rubbishing the statement that Trs would give chance to a Dalit for becoming the Chief Minister in the event of formation of Telangana, the TDP leader stated KCR does not even sit besides Dalit. “How he can give chance to Dalit candidate for the Chief Minister’s post,” he asked.

Another MLA Dayakar Reddy took serious objection over senior Trs leader Harish Rao for describing those Telangana candidates campaign in the by-election as `Telangana traitors’.

He asked Telangana leaders to first stop those who hoist YSR Congress Party flags in Telangana region and take serious action on them.
