BJP says, 'We told you so' on SKC

Bharatiya Janata Party Floor Leader in the state Assembly G Kishen Reddy reminded that the Bjp was against the constitution of the Justice BN Srikrishna Committee right from the beginning and on Thursday justified his party’s stance against the Panel.

Talking to media persons at Assembly Media Point, the Bjp state unit president described the Srikrishna Committee Report as a `waste report’ and would not serve any purpose.

Reacting on the High Court directing the government to make eighth chapter of the Report public, Mr Kishen Reddy stated that there was nothing to comment on the Report as it is opposed to bifurcation of the state.

“At least now,” he said, “the Centre should make efforts towards the formation of Telangana state without linking the issue with Committee’s recommendations.”

Mr Kishen Reddy also appealed to state government to reinstate those employees who were dismissed by the management of the Singareni Collieries Company Limited from services.

He said the company had removed nearly 10,000 employees from service in a phased manner and their families were now “thrown on the road.”
