Jagan's Harita Yatra an attempt to mask YSR's corruption: TDP

Telugu Desam party official spokesman Revanth Reddy on Friday alleged that former Kadapa MP Y S Jaganmohan Reddy launched `Harita Yatra’ only to ‘mask’ his father and former chief minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy’s sins.

Talking to media persons after releasing a open letter addressed to Mr Jaganmohan Reddy, Mr Revanth Reddy alleged that YSR and former government advisor KVP Ramachandra Rao were the culprits responsible for rampant corruption while undertaking the works on the Polavaram Irrigation projects.

“As part of his efforts to cover up his father’s corrupt practices, the former MP has launched Harita Yatra in East Godavari district,” he pointed out.

The TDP leader dared Mr Jaganmohan Reddy to seek Central Bureau of Investigation probe into Jalayagnam works taken up during YSR’s tenure.

Mr Revanth Reddy alleged the Congress High Command had not initiated action against Mr Jaganmohan Reddy before he left the party as it had also received kickbacks in Jalayagnam works.

The senior TDP leader demanded that Congress president Sonia Gandhi prove her integrity by ordering a CBI probe into entire issue.

He also refuted the charges leveled by Mr Jaganmohan Reddy against TDP president N Chandrababu. He said that there was no truth to Mr Jaganmohan Reddy’s claims that Mr Naidu was responsible for delay in the completion of  Polavaram project.
